When I find myself (i.e. my Fleet in a current Battle) in a corner, and I have the "Merchant Ship" card available, I deploy the Merchant Ship in an attempt to draw fire away from my other ships while they attempt to find Repair and Reload points.

Is this wrong?

Feeling a bit guilty every time I sacrifice an innocent ship, passengers, and cargo, for the sake of the Battle...

Is it indeed true that, "...all is fair in (love) and war..."???

Your input appreciated. Image

Heh. I tend to set ships in an alise to mother hen the transport through, but I do do the oppisite of what you are doing by mainly allowing the black side transports to live.

Reason for this is to allow me to hammer his cap ships into scrap as he tries to get the merchie to it's waypoint. Better yet is to guess at where the Merchie needs to go and plop a ship on that spot. You can then hammer away at his fleet as the AI tries to save that merchant in hopes that you will move of the waypoint. I dont and they sink nor does the merchant never get home.
